Features & Configuration Of Recent Comments Widget

The widget offers the following customization and has features as:

• 1-     Displays Snippet of last comment
• 2-     Displays the title of the post where the comment has been posted (either hide/show the post title)
• 3-     Displays the comment list in descending order (newest at top)
• 4-     Displays number of comments (total no of comments)
• 5-     Displays the date of comment (either hide or show)
• 6-     Number of words of comments shown (can change the no words shown in widget)

How To Add Recent Comments Widget

Step 1: go to your blogger Dashboard > Your blog > Layout then click on Add Gadget link

Step 2: A pop up window will instantly open, scroll it down and choose option of HTML/JavaScript

Step 3: Now copy and paste the below given code in the box of HTML/JavaScript

Customization

Change the following to customize the widget

• 1-     Replace the Red color URL to your blog address
• 2-     To Change the no of comments to be displayed, replace the no “5” from a_rc=5
• 3-     To show the date of comment, change the “false” from m_rc=false to “true”
• 4-     To hide the post title, change the “true” from n_rc=true to “false”
• 5-     To change the no words to be displayed in widget, replace “100” from o_rc=100 to your desired value as “150”

Step 5: Now click on the Save, Congratulations! You have done all.
